If Doctor Who fans are not harassed and in particular not harassed by BBC and Big Finish authors - that's a real plus.
Anyone in Doctor Who fandom history should be very extremely familiar with the harassment of fans on the 'Official" Big Finish Forum and even one of the old 'BBC" forums. Yet unfortunately it was severe on the original web based Doctor Who forum Outpost Gallifrey.
People just don't want to be harassed anymore. That's so 2000's. It is worth documenting the moves forward.

Hi folks,
This message chain has revealed something to me that I am quite pleased about. Apparently I do not read forums daily, or even weekly or even monthly. That is due in part to the fact that I have never really considered forums to be a source of value for real usable information, as it's just all to commonly an unverifiable bunch of people spewing their own opinions based on no facts or real experience (FACEBOOK) But this one I do try to hold dear to heart as it's personal and goes back for decades, in fact to the early 1980's when I created Outpost Gallifrey as part of my commodore 64 bbs originally titled 'Closet 64', and then later 'In Living Colour' that did hold the title of the #1 c64 bbs on Earth for three years in a row.
Personally discovering the extreme abuse of Doctor Who fans over the years did prompt me to do something, give them a haven and climb up on a rooftop and scream about it.
Let's get some legal shit out of the way real plain and clear;
1) Big Finish & BBC
I am volunteering and clearly stating that I was never abused or by Big Finish or BBC staff directly.
I have however been bullied by both BBC and Big Finish authors, writers and other positions.
I have seen a memo issued which prohibits contractors such as authors from participating in online forums that abuse and bully Doctor Who fans. It would make complete sense that BBC wants to protect their brand.
Outpost Gallifrey does have a cache of tens of thousands of pages of documents that show and clearly demonstrate this abuse of fans spanning, sadly, a generation. I get choked up when I think about that. An entire generation of children, their parents all subjected to bullying and harassment. It comes down to two places on the Internet. Gallifreybase.com run by author Steven Warren Hill to promote his own conventions using a fake IRS tax exemption he calls 'Gold Usher", and Tony Jones which to this day runs a fake Big Finish forum he calls Divergent Universe where BBC and Big Finish staff actively and openly discriminate. I was harassed there, I was in a conversation with John Dorney. I informed John Dorney that I had been censored and harassed and he instead elected to continue to use the forum knowing with full evidence that he was on a forum of abuse and harassment of Doctor Who consumers.
Nothing is off the plate.
For you people that knew and loved the original Oupost Gallifrey, in the summer of 2021 we recovered an archive that contains every single message since post by Shaun Lyon on May 12th, 1995, six years later when he would steal the name "Outpost Gallifrey' as he posted the message under the very forum itself, 'Outpost Gallifrey'. which was then on an Apple ][e with a 1200 baud modem. It clearly shows where the name was stolen from me. It took decades to get the name back from this thief.
If you are a victim of harassment if the Doctor Who world, do speak up. You are not alone. Post it here or we even have private forums for discussion of such.
Outpost Gallifrey in it's return, has already provided relief for fans that have been abused and we are the focal central point for such. We have absolute damning evidence of long term abuse of fans and have no reservations about releasing it in mass.
We want the problem fixed. No more BBC and/or Big Finish authors posting on Gallireybase.com or Divergent Universe. If they do continue, we will start to release documents in droves.
Outpost Gallifrey holds the largest Internet library of Doctor Who fan interaction in history. We actually have every single post ever made, which took about half a decade to recover. We have 100% of all content of Outpost Gallifrey and it absolutely shows a pattern and history of the harassment of fans.
Outpost Gallifrey is working on an idea for an online museum, that would show all fan comments since 1981 and beyond.
Outpost Gallifrey has retained 100% of all public fan comments on the Internet since 1981. What has been lost is all of the arbitrary and private information that was entrusted to just two people, Shaun Lyon and author Steve Hill. Those two gentlemen tried and most fortunately failed to commercialize Doctor Who without a license in the US. Author Steven Warren Hill continues with his fraud while registered with the US IRS (Internal Revenue Service) as a fake non profit that he registered called 'GOLD USHER'. That fucker is likely looking at prison time.

While this is an exciting conversation to join, I can confirm that there are currently 2,787,439 documents that exist from 1981 until present in relation to Outpost Gallifrey. Some of the compiled information includes private messages including those of Shaun Lyon. This is not a hacked file so to speak, it comes from promotional materials where Shaun Lyon sold all of the personal information of Doctor Who fans to a 'Gold Usher". This was an install file offered to other potential buyers. At the time it was about $25,000.00.
The data formats are not compatible with current modern, main stream data files as the original commodore 64 bbs script was written in Basic with Hex modifications (by Kamelion signed by name in 1981). After that it was converted to apple which was a disaster and then a few months later back to CBM Basic. This would be converted to HTML and then beyond.
I have no comments on history of interactions, other than the fact that I can confirm that the history is as complete as possible. It required over four years of research and retrieval to piece back together "OUTPOST GALLIFREY", from 1981 to present.

Hi Bill, long time no talk. I still remember that SCCA RX7 we built. I actually didn't know you were still alive.
The compressed file I have is probably the same from when Shaun Lyon sold it to Steve Hill. I believe Steve Hill paid $25,000 when my bid was $29k in cash back then. There seemed to be some saved benefits of people that run for profit conventions with each other, kind of a brotherhood. In fact not even 'kind of', a real brotherhood in trying to same ill gotten gains of for profits guys vs. actual fandom.

Yes I see it and thank you. It's the same file I have had for a few years. Do you have the 'Four Missing Years?" Those were the ones right before OG went down under Shaun and it was claimed that all of them were wiped by him, some night when he got drunk or something stupid.
There was a backup file made before he transferred it to Steve Hill. Sold it, whatever. The website was visable for about a week that showed all of the recent history, and then Steve Hill installed new software and just decided that the last four years didn't matter or something. Those four years are missing.
It is likely that Steve Hill just deleted all of them because he was more interesting in money than preserving history. I hope that is not the case. That group of messages held hundreds of my first Doctor Who reviews and can not be replaced.

I checked with one of my friends over at Gallifreybase.com and she looked at the archive files which are not online. The file was there so she grabbed it. Bill, you have to be kidding me man. If I had known it was only so simple to just ask if anyone has access to that data, I would have asked years ago. I mean it would make sense that it was saved, somewhere, but then trying to get that from people that seem to care more for profit than preservation of history, sure.
I have opened the file and this is indeed it. This was the missing piece of Outpost Gallifrey from when it was sold by someone that didn't even own or create it to someone else that didn't even own or create it. That's terrible. Glad to have it back and thank you. I see 142,425 messages in this file. I have found my own old reviews. Does this contain private messages?
